Mark J. Quann

Founder & CEO of The Perfect Portfolio, a division of REMii Group, Inc. Knoxville, TN.

Born into a blue-collar family, Mark Quann's father was a brick mason, his mother a stay-at-home mom, and money was often tight. Growing up in a tough neighborhood with limited opportunities, Mark quickly realized that the school system wasn't going to teach him how to get ahead financially. So he started asking the one question that would shape his future: “How do I make money?” His parents soon gave him the nickname “Money Mark.”

Despite struggling in school and disliking reading, Mark's real education came from the school of hard knocks: learning through experience, setbacks, and sheer determination. After digging himself into a financial hole with credit card and student loan debt while attending college for business and financial advising, he dedicated the next two decades to mastering how money truly works. Along the way, he worked as an insurance investigator and spent 13 years as an Investment Advisor Representative (IAR), gaining firsthand knowledge of the financial system from the inside out.

In 2018, Mark took control of his future by launching REMii Group, Inc., followed by the creation of The Perfect Portfolio in 2019, a financial education company that teaches the Buy, Borrow, Die strategy.

A lifelong entrepreneur with an unshakable passion for financial education, Mark is committed to helping others escape the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle and build lasting wealth. Beyond his businesses, he works with schools, nonprofits, and community groups to bring financial literacy to those who need it most.

Mark lives and works in the Knoxville, TN metro area, continuing his mission to empower others with financial knowledge that can change their lives.

Why he teaches instead of advising

“While writing my second book about investing and tax strategies, I realized that the investments I was recommending to my clients would not allow them to become financially free at a young age. It was a difficult decision, but I decided that I would resign as a financial advisor and instead focus on teaching strategies that allow for retirement at any age.”
